With the holidays approaching, many of us are scrambling for the perfect gifts for our loved ones. Here is a Holiday Gift Guide to my personal Top 5 Picks this season!
Jo Malone Fragrances
Whether it’s a candle or a perfume — Jo Malone really nails it when it comes to scents. A favorite of mine is English Pear & Freesia. It is feminine, fresh and not overpowering. I also love that Jo Malone fragrances are created with less alcohol than most, along with embodying many natural ingredients. I have my eye on one of their candles, and spend quite the amount of time sniffing when visiting a Nordstrom or Holt Renfrew.
Fresh Baked Apple Pie
Yes, this really is what it sounds like. It isn’t a product or brand. I love my mom’s fresh baked apple pie and when she wanted to know what I would like for Christmas, that is exactly what I told her. If you have a specialty, nothing is more personal and delicious than something homemade.
Fiddle Leaf Fig
You may have seen these in home magazines. They add character to any room and seem to compliment any style of decor. I love greenery in my house, it adds a cozy factor to it, as well as helping to purify your air! If you are not quite sure how someone would handle being gifting an entire Fiddle Leaf Fig tree, then how about some air plants, succulents or cacti? They are all low maintenance and can be planted in interesting containers. You can even go shopping at your local thrift store to find interesting “pots” such as teacups or nick nacks.
A Care Package
A few years back a friend of mine was going through a really difficult time around the holidays. I put together a care package — wine, a bath bomb, chocolate, tea and a soy candle. It was exactly what she needed! It’s fun to get creative and there aren’t any rules to what you can include. You will find it to be a lot of fun creating an “experience” for the recipient. If you feel that you do not have time to go shop around for these items, why not send them a BEAUTYGRAM?
Maybe the recipient of your gift wants to have a more organized new year? Possibly even just a fresh start. Planners are excellent ways to stay on top of things and stick to goals throughout the year. Some personal favourites are the Day Designer, STIL Daily Design Love Planner and the Simplified Planner.
