Bridesmaid Trends 2017

Bridesmaid Dress Trends in 2017

I am incredibly excited to say that my one of my best friends got engaged over the holidays. It has been a quiet 2 years since I have been in a bridal party last and I am looking forward to celebrating with her! In keeping with this, I was inspired to share 3 of my favorite bridesmaid trends going strong for this upcoming year.

mix and match bridesmaid dresses

Mix & Match

This is a trend that has been in for awhile and I really love that it’s still going strong! I adore how each dress coordinates with the other yet still maintains a sense of individuality. If you aren’t one to experiment with color how about mixing textures and styles instead?

Sheer Overlay Bridesmaid Dresses

Sheer Overlay

This look is simply stunning and creates an ethereal effect. Whether in lace or soft mesh, an overlay catches the eye and can add interest to the most modest designs! I am a big fan of flowing layers and love how the wind can play with it to create such beauty and romance!

Tea Length Bridesmaid Dresses

Tea Length

I remember when most of the tea length options for bridesmaid dresses were shapeless and boring. Now there are so many interpretations available for this unique and elegant style that hits just below the knee! I love how feminine it is and am so glad that it has made a comeback in a tasteful way. Tip: If your girls are on the shorter side, get them to pair it with shoes that elongate their legs such as a pump with a pointed toe.
