My Nested Bean Sleep Sack GIVEAWAY!

Hi mamas with little ones! There are a select few of you who have babies that have always slept peacefully for hours through the night. I am incredibly happy for you. Motherhood is no piece of cake for anyone!

Then there is the rest of us *cough* myself included! Let me tell you – there is hope to sleep again. I am finding that sometimes it is the simplest fix (and other times there is no fix at all). I am still learning and he changes from week to week but I would love to share my experience with him sleeping at night thanks to a little something I call a sleep sack.

On average J was resting for 4 hour stretches every night starting anywhere from 10 pm-12 am and then waking up between 2 am – 4 am. It was far better than every 2 hours when he was a newborn but still not the kind of sleep this mom needs! I am someone who really loves a good nap and it was something I knew I most likely would be sacrificing once my little one arrived and I was not wrong.

Zen Swaddle and Sleep Sack

I discovered a company called Nested Bean that creates the Zen Swaddle and Zen Sack which are weighted to mimic the pressure of human touch. I am excited to announce that I am partnering with them today to gift one lucky reader a Nested Bean product of their choice (Sack or Swaddle). I will go over the features of each to help you choose which one is best for you!

Research was done with sleep consultants to get it just right – a mission started by a mother in search of an answer for her own babies but an idea that turned into a product that is praised by mama’s everywhere!

Zen Sack

I wanted to try out the Zen Sack over a span of nights so that I could get an idea if it was creating a difference overall, regardless of variables.

Below is my sleep diary:

Night 1 – No difference in his sleep pattern (apparently it can take anywhere from 1-3 nights to see results so I was patient and hopeful!)

Night 2 – He slept a 7 hour stretch! (Hallelujah)

Night 3 – He slept a 6 hour stretch, ate then slept 2 more, woke up, self-soothed and slept another 3 (mom is happy!)

Night 4 – He slept a 6.5 hour stretch

Night 5 – He slept 4.5 hours, woke up and ate, slept another 4.5

Night 6 – Used the swaddle instead because the sack was in the laundry (I don’t recall how long he slept, but wasn’t unhappy with it or would have recorded it for sure!)

Night 7 – He slept a stretch of 6 hours and 40 minutes in the swaddle (amaaazing)

Overall, the trend at night is between 6-7 hour stretches followed by a second, shorter stretch as he usually sleeps until about 10 am in the morning. There was a significant change in his patterns compared to the 4 – 4.5 religiously every night prior.

Nested Bean Sleep Swaddle

I also tried to use his Zen Swaddle for naps during the day because he refuses to nap at all (one 15-30 minute interval if I am lucky).

Day 1 – He took a 2 hour nap (WHAAAAAAT?)

Day 2 – Refused to nap even after he was in the swaddle (kept yelling)

Day 3 – Same as Day 2

Day 4 – Had a little nap on my chest (the sweetest thing) but without the swaddle

I didn’t take the day naps any further yet, it continues to still be a struggle but we will get there! We are both still learning!

I’d love the zen swaddle classic. My DD is almost 3 months and swaddled nights for sleeping. Although we’re always awake because like most young babies she wants my touch. This product sounds just what a tired mama needs for a good night sleep.

Yes, it certainly is great. I wish I had tried it sooner!

I would love to win the zen sack!!! My first two had a harder time sleeping past 6 months and I never had a sleep sack. This one sounds perfect for baby 3. I also like that it has two snap positions for longer use.

I would love the zen sack. This is my third and sleep is extra important. I love te style of this one and the fact that it has two snap positions so it can be used longer.

I would love to try the swaddle for my next baby. I absolutely loved swaddling my son because it helped him sleep but having that little extra weight would be great and it is so cute!

P.S. Might be too late to enter but I thought I would try anyways. Thanks for the opportunity!
