It’s no secret that the whole natural product scene has grown in popularity in the past few years and become much more mainstream. It seems like every company nowadays has a “clean” line or makes claims on their products being pure and straight from the earth. One thing I have often found frustrating is once I read the ingredients on the labels I come across chemicals I do not recognize and cannot pronounce! If I
I love outfits that are actually effortless but look like you put work into them! This gorgeous look (that I am aiming to wear a couple more times before the cold weather hits) fits the bill perfectly! I wore it the other day while my hubs and I went out to run a few errands, take a quick photo shoot and grab a cold drink. I have always had my eye on a top like
Many of you who read my blogs every week know that I waited awhile (married 6 years) prior to having a wee bebe. The reason for this is that I wanted to accomplish and experience some personal milestones and goals first in order to be fully present with no regrets when my little one came along. It also really helped to have a tight-knit group of friends, many of which did not/do not have children.
Although I do like dressing up, there is a side of me that also loves to thoughtfully piece together casual looks. I have always been drawn to slouchy pieces – over sized jackets and sweaters, wide leg pants, large scarves and flowing vests to name a few. I am also a really big fan of athleisure. I am not saying you will spot me in yoga pants running around doing errands anytime soon, but it
When I started shopping for baby gear I had it in mind to splurge on two items – a stroller and diaper bag. I was more than willing to purchase second-hand baby clothes and save money on other items but I figured that these two essentials in particular needed to have excellent quality, functionality and style. I ended up choosing a Lily-Jade bag; their Madeline style in the Brandy colour. Today I dish on what
Amidst everything else going on I managed to finish our baby room with plenty of time to spare. It is now one of my favourite spaces in the house! When it comes to decor in general I am not overly feminine. I love my neutrals…and plants. I love plants. Prior to beginning decorating, the room was my office. After realizing life was about to change drastically we moved my desk to a different area of
Today I have partnered with Milk Snob to give one very lucky reader a chance to win one of their own Black & White Signature Striped covers! Let’s just say for such a simple invention it is one of my favourite mommy essentials! I adore its versatility as it can be used as: A cover for your car seat while out in public. Yes please. As a new mom, taking my 3 day old baby
This month marks one year for my blog! I cannot believe all the changes that have happened in such a short time. I have had the privilege of working with so many amazing individuals and brands. Prior to starting this blog in connection with my Fashion Illustration business, I was on the beauty panel as a regular contributor for Toronto Beauty Reviews – founded by Elaine Atkins. Writing for Elaine taught me quite a bit
There’s a new baby in the house and let’s face it – doing your makeup is not at the top of the priority list! Thanks to Quo and Joe Fresh, there are some quick (and cute) options for products that make you look like maybe you just might have had a full night’s sleep (ha ha)! Oh and with all the added baby expenses you’ll be glad to hear that they are budget-friendly as well!

A couple of weekends ago my husband and I decided to head to Toronto for the day to enjoy a bit of time together before our new family member enters our lives. We kind of missed the whole babymoon getaway train – and personally with how uncomfortable my belly is these days I am more than happy to sleep in my own bed at night as opposed to a hotel, no matter how luxurious. We
